Beta Test – New, Online, Managers WalkThrough Form

We are going to launch an exciting new service. Gone with the old paper form of the Managers WalkThrough Report Form – In with the Online Forms. Give it a try.

Click on the “Routines” pulldown up above, then select Managers WalkThrough Report Form on your phone or tablet or portable computer. Have someone start up a DCP on the projector in the auditorium that you want to check…and click away on the online form.

If everything is cool, all stays nice and simple. But if the answer requires more information to pass to the tech (for example), the form magically opens up and gives you a place to tell everyone what you saw or heard.

Like the DCPs and lessons, the new Online Form Series is free and we hope you will use it for every theater every week…or more if you want. The Safety and Security Form is just about ready and the Monday CleanUp will also be released this week. Continue reading “Beta Test – New, Online, Managers WalkThrough Form”

Align1 – 2K

Align1 is stolen from a technician’s dream, then modified for the non-technical user.

Its simplicity hides a wonderful secret. Each time it is seen and heard, the user gains a little bit more ability to distinguish more of what their perceptions are gathering. Eventually their eyes will be like those of a professional colorist, seeing tints in the grey, or distortion in a tone, as a golden ear’d audiophile would. And with other lessons, others of these Manager’s Walk Through Series, they’ll learn how to describe what they perceive to the tech in an efficient way.

Good luck to us all. This is the 2K SMPTE Compliant version. Don’t forget to download the checklist~!

Let’s see what happens with this Vimeo attempt at the quicktime file…

Report Form – Manager’s Walk Through

Hi. This is the download page for the Manager’s Walk Through Checklist.

You can decide how to use it, according to how familiar you are with the material and what best serves your facility.

Maybe you’ll go through the report line by line – the report follows the DCPs for that reason – and keep tidy records for all rooms.

Or maybe you’ll just use it for the clues, and note down your ideas for the Tech Support Group, ideas about the items that seem too different to be right, to different to ignore.

Either way, could we have fit more on the page? Is there something else we should have put in?

Let us know, successes and suggestions for improvement are what we live for.

Thanks and enjoy everything.

There is no pass code for this document. Just click the I am not a robot box…unless, of course, you are a robot.

This Vimeo link has a Quicktime file that shows the basics of the DCP, except that the subtitles are burned into the QT file.
